The Six Best Everyday Carry Bottle Openers

Cracking a cold beer with your friends after a long week of work is one of life’s simplest — but finest — pleasures. Enjoyed in moderation, it provides a way to unwind from life’s stresses and reaffirm the beauty of being alive.

So the next time you’re ready to kick back and pop open a bottle with your buds, do it in style with one of our six best everyday carry bottle openers. They’re one more tool to help you turn the average into the extraordinary.

Westmark Hermetus Bottle Opener and Resealer

Our first featured bottle opener comes courtesy of a country that really knows how to do beer: The Westmark Hermetus Bottle Opener and Resealer, straight from Germany.

Made from stainless steel with a comfort grip silicone handle, the Hermetus has a retro look and feel that we’re quite fond of.

The real draw here though is the tool’s multi-functionality. It’s simultaneously a cap lifter, screw cap opener, and a bottle re-sealer, so it’ll easily take care of all your bottled beverage needs.

Aerocrafted Wingman Bottle Opener

Lightweight. Minimalist. Tough as heck. Those are the three major selling points for Aerocrafted’s Wingman Bottle Opener.

Made from grade 5 titanium but still offered at a fair price, the Wingman is one heck of a keychain tool. It’s given a smooth tumbled finish for a polished look and feel, with no rough edges to bother your fingers while you’re opening bottles. And it’s made in the USA too, which we’re always big fans of.

WESN MT

A bottle opener is always going to be a useful addition to your everyday carry setup. But if you’re on the more minimalist carry side, you may not want to dedicate an entire tool to a single function.

If that’s the case, then WESN’s MT multi-tool will be right up your alley. It’s a simple multi-tool with three main features: A bottle opener, combination flathead screwdriver and scraper, and pry bar. Made from milled titanium, it has plenty of strength in its lightweight body — a quality that’s further reinforced by its length, which gives it great leverage for popping bottles.

YETI Molle Bottle Opener

One of our favorite bottle openers comes with a certain bias for our NutSac bags — because YETI’s Molle Bottle Opener fits perfectly on the webbing built into our Admin Pouches and TacSacs!

Small but highly functional, YETI’s bottle opener is made from stainless steel and costs right at 10 bucks. It’s simple but direct, and a very compact way to store a bottle opener in your dedicated EDC bag.

Tactikowl MixTape Bottle Opener

So far, the bottle openers we’ve featured have prioritized function over form.

Tactikowl’s range of MixTape Bottle Openers totally reverses that.

Primarily designed as a decorative piece, the MixTape looks exactly like — you guessed it — an old cassette tape. And you can get it in nearly a dozen colors, including a heavy duty brass version that has enough weight to feel great in the hand.

NotoriousEDC Beer Bomb Bottle Opener

Last but not least: The Beer Bomb, a decorative but utilitarian titanium bottle opener from our friends at NotoriousEDC.

Inspired by the artwork on the noses of World War II fighter jets, the Beer Bomb is equal parts form and function. Even with its simple and compact design, the Beer Bomb incorporates quite a few tools: a bottle opener, a flathead screwdriver, a 1/4" hex bit driver, a pry bar, and a package opener. It’s not cheap, but man is it cool.
